Choose a specific grade level and strand from the following social studies strands: American History, World History, Civics/Government, Geography, and Economics. Within your selected strand, you will also need to select one particular concept. (To assist, visit the Arizona Department of Education’s Social Studies Standards page at .)Create an essential question that your WebQuest will address. Be sure to include the essential question on the introduction page of your WebQuest. Use the “Essential Questions” resource for details on how to create an essential question .Review  to construct your WebQuest.  (For examples of completed WebQuests, visit the WebQuest home page at  .)Design a five-day WebQuest that could be used to teach and assess one particular concept from the social studies strand you selected. Account for the following lesson plan components: Write a reflection of 1,000-1,250 words on why you think the WebQuest you have devised represents best practices for teaching social studies and how your mentor teacher’s practices influenced your design.

Describe the sampling equipment and methods used to collect the sample.

Analysis of an Air-Sampling Report  Click here to view a PDF of a typical sampling report. Compose a two- to three-page analysis that addresses the following questions:  1. What is the purpose of the exposure assessment?2. Why was the exposure assessment conducted?3. What type of sampling (personal or area) was conducted, and why?4. What are the chemicals that were sampled, and what are their hazards?5. What are the most likely routes of exposure given the nature of the business?6. Describe the sampling equipment and methods used to collect the sample.7. Provide an overview of the results, including an explanation of the “additive formula,” and discuss them in relation to the applicable exposure limit.8. Were there any off-normal or unplanned incidents relative to sample collection?9. Provide a summary of the recommendations made by Sam “IH” Sampler.10. Comment on the thoroughness of the study. Did you feel that the exposure assessment was comprehensive? If not, what additional information would you provide?11. Comment on who the target audience would be for this report. If you were the plant director of ACME Printing, would you be comfortable with sharing this with an auditor from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)? Do you have any concerns related to sharing this with your employees?  In addition to addressing the listed questions, you should consider using additional background materials to support your analysis. Materials should be cited using APA formatting style to include in-text citations and a reference list. You should also paraphrase information obtained from outside sources; that is, use your own words. Do not simply cut and paste materials from outside sources. Limit directly quoted materials to no more than three to five sentences for the entire case study overview, and always use quotation marks for direct quotes of outside sources.

Demonstrate your understanding of the risk management concepts.

Risk Management In this project, you will be given the opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of the risk management concepts covered in this and previous units in the course.   Select a real or imagined workplace setting that involves hazards created by two or more of the hazard sources discussed in Chapters 14-27. Your assignment is to identify and assess the risks in this workplace, propose tactics for reducing the risks, and evaluate the residual risks. Your submission should include the following:   A brief description of the workplace setting and an explanation of the tasks in this workplace.   Identification of hazards and risks in the workplace; Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), or Fault Tree Analysis are to be used, or some combination of these techniques.   Assessment of the identified risks before risk reduction efforts are applied, using a 5×5 Risk Assessment Matrix.  Identification of risk reduction tactics to be applied with a brief justification for each tactic selected; multiple tactics can be applied to each risk if needed.   Re-assessment of the risks after tactics are applied, using a 5X5 matrix.  Discussion of the residual risks, and whether you feel they are at a tolerable level.   The project must be a minimum of four pages, and a maximum of seven pages in length, not including the title, abstract, and reference pages. Use APA formatting where applicable.

Adaptive Response

As an advanced practice nurse, you will examine patients presenting with a variety of disorders. You must, therefore, understand how the body normally functions so that you can identify when it is reacting to changes. Often, when changes occur in body systems, the body reacts with compensatory mechanisms. These compensatory mechanisms, such as adaptive responses, might be signs and symptoms of alterations or underlying disorders. In the clinical setting, you use these responses, along with other patient factors, to lead you to a diagnosis.Consider the following scenarios:Scenario 1:Jennifer is a 2-year-old female who presents with her mother. Mom is concerned because Jennifer has been “running a temperature” for the last 3 days. Mom says that Jennifer is usually healthy and has no significant medical history. She was in her usual state of good health until 3 days ago when she started to get fussy, would not eat her breakfast, and would not sit still for her favorite television cartoon. Since then she has had a fever off and on, anywhere between 101oF and today’s high of 103.2oF. Mom has been giving her ibuprofen, but when the fever went up to 103.2oF today, she felt that she should come in for evaluation. A physical examination reveals a height and weight appropriate 2-year-old female who appears acutely unwell.  Her skin is hot and dry. The tympanic membranes are slightly reddened on the periphery, but otherwise normal in appearance. The throat is erythematous with 4+ tonsils and diffuse exudates. Anterior cervical nodes are readily palpable and clearly tender to touch on the left side. The child indicates that her throat hurts “a lot” and it is painful to swallow. Vital signs reveal a temperature of 102.8oF, a pulse of 128 beats per minute, and a respiratory rate of 24 beats per minute.Scenario 2:Jack is a 27-year-old male who presents with redness and irritation of his hands. He reports that he has never had a problem like this before, but about 2 weeks ago he noticed that both his hands seemed to be really red and flaky. He denies any discomfort, stating that sometimes they feel “a little bit hot,” but otherwise they feel fine. He does not understand why they are so red. His wife told him that he might have an allergy and he should get some steroid cream. Jack has no known allergies and no significant medical history except for recurrent ear infections as a child. He denies any traumatic injury or known exposure to irritants. He is a maintenance engineer in a newspaper building and admits that he often works with abrasive solvents and chemicals. Normally he wears protective gloves, but lately they seem to be in short supply so sometimes he does not use them. He has exposed his hands to some of these cleaning fluids, but says that it never hurt and he always washed his hands when he was finished.Scenario 3:Martha is a 65-year-old woman who recently retired from her job as an administrative assistant at a local hospital. Her medical history is significant for hypertension, which has been controlled for years with hydrochlorothiazide. She reports that lately she is having a lot of trouble sleeping, she occasionally feels like she has a “racing heartbeat,” and she is losing her appetite. She emphasizes that she is not hungry like she used to be. The only significant change that has occurred lately in her life is that her 87-year-old mother moved into her home a few years ago. Mom had always been healthy, but she fell down a flight of stairs and broke her hip. Her recovery was a difficult one, as she has lost a lot of mobility and independence and needs to rely on her daughter for assistance with activities of daily living. Martha says it is not the retirement she dreamed about, but she is an only child and is happy to care for her mother. Mom wakes up early in the morning, likes to bathe every day, and has always eaten 5 small meals daily. Martha has to put a lot of time into caring for her mother, so it is almost a “blessing” that Martha is sleeping and eating less. She is worried about her own health though and wants to know why, at her age, she suddenly needs less sleep.Write a 2- to 3-page paper that addresses the following: NB:
