(Tribology) The Development of a Protocol for the application of topical skin cream products.

Mechanical Engineering. This Literature review has to cover all previous work regarding methods of tribological testing on human skin friction. My thesis involves the use of a UMT machine (friction test) on the volar forearm and also the corneometer(water) and sebumeter(oil). My project aim is to develop a protocol to measure the changes in tribological properties(friction, hydration, oil levels) of skin before and after application of vaseline. The objectives include:
Familiarise with UMT machine and its functions and controls
Carry out tests in laboratory.
Identification of the correct parameters to carry out tests.
Eg. Amount of cream application, Time duration between application and testing(acclimatisation), Location of cream application, atmosphere conditions effect.
Run similar tests with cavilon.(Other creams also applicable)
Create a Standard Protocol for Testing using the UMT machine.
Clinical trials with the identified standard protocol.

I have a list of papers which need to be referenced and can provide softcopy.

Aviation law

Cases are available. Students are to read both Pirker Decisions and do a case comment comparing the decision of Pirker I and Pirker II. The Formant of the Case Comment should be no longer than 1500 words and will contain an introduction, background information, the holding of the particular Court and most importantly, the student analysis of the case law on aviation, if any. Which decision in your opinion is correct, is it the ALJ in Pirker I or the the full NTSB board in Pirker II. Case comments will be evaluated on proper formatting, complete sentences, punctuation, and grammar. Proper formated of citations must be used as found in Chapter One of the Fundamentals of Aviation Law, the Course Text Book. The main goal is to ascertain that a student can read a case, state the law and predict the case law effects on aviation.

explain the American acceptance of Pollock and Abstract Expressionism following World War II.

In the film Pollock, the actor and filmmaker Ed Harris depicts Jackson Pollock as a tremendously troubled individual. Indeed, Pollock rises to fame only with the considerable intellectual, emotional, and financial support of others. How do others, particularly Pollock\’s wife Lee Krasner contribute to the painter\’s ultimate success? How about his patroness Peggy Guggenheim? Critics such as Clement Greenberg? Can one reasonably argue that rather than being a genius who created his works in isolation, we might consider Pollock\’s work \”socially constructed\”? A broader question to consider: how does the movie influence your view of Pollock\’s work? Do the details of an artist\’s life matter when analyzing and appreciating their art?

Please read pages 602-604 in Gombrich. Using direct quotes, describe how Gombrich defines and characterizes Abstract Expressionism. Next, drawing on material from lecture, describe the general argument of Clement Greenbergs influential essay, Avant-Garde and Kitsch. According to Greenberg, what makes the work of Avant-Garde artists like Picasso (and eventually Jackson Pollock) superior to the academic tradition? How does Greenbergs resistance to traditional figurative art help explain the American acceptance of Pollock and Abstract Expressionism following World War II.

Violence Prevention Program for Teens and Adolescents

Objective: To create a health promotion program for a priority population (teens and adolescents in urban communities). Refer to Creating a Health Promotion Program in your OCR Chapter 5. Create a proposal for a health promotion program.
The proposal must be between 5 to 10 pages, excluding any graphics, and requires the following information:
Identify the population and health topic
Assess the needs of the priority population
Set the goals and objectives for the program
How will the goals and objectives be achieved
Implement the intervention
Describe how will you implement the interventions
Evaluate the results
The proposal must be between 5 to 10 pages, typed, double-spaced, not including references, appendices. Follow the APA Publication Manual (6th Edition, 2009 for proper citation, quotes, tables, figures, footnotes, appendixes, text and reference list, etc.

NOTE: FOR ONE OF THE SOURCES, PLEASE REFER TO CHAPTER 5 IN THE BOOK ENTITLED \”AN INTRODUCTION TO COMMUNITY AND PUBLIC HEALTH (EIGHT EDITION) BY JAMES F. MCKENZIE & ROBERT R. PINGER. ALSO, PLEASE USE RECENT SOURCES NO OLDER THAN 5 YEARS (BETWEEN THE YEARS 2011-2016).

Humanities/102: Introduction to the Humanities: Renaissance to the present

Write a 1,050-word paper that addresses the following:
.Define the term humanities. Your definition should explain how the term humanities has been defined and understood over time.
.Distinguish the humanities from other modes of human inquiry and expression. In other words, how do the subjects that fall under the humanities study human inquiry and expression as distinghished from the sciences?
.Identify a modern day example of each type of the following humanities and explain how each example you provide reflects current events and cultural patterns. What do the examples you selected tell us about cultural developments in the 21st century? How do the examples you chose capture the tenets, spirit, ideology, thinking, concerns, aesthetics, politics, cultural and social mores, etc. of the 21st century?

Format your assignment according to appropriate course level APA guidelines.
Note: Use your Week 1 Course Readings as a point of reference for this assignment. If you need additional sources, use the University Library. If you use the Internet to find sources, you should only access credible and reliable Internet sites such as those affiliated with a museum, magazine, newspaper, educational institution, or arts organization, for example. You should not use sites like Wikipedia, About.com, Ask.com, or blogs, for example.
For this assignment, it is important that you get a wide range of humanities definitions and not solely rely on a dictionary definition. Doing so will help you better discuss the humanities examples you chose for this assignment. These are 4 References that the Professor gave us to use but please add extra ones.

international development : IDEAS AND ACTORS

Pick a development actor and write a blog post that asks and answers a question, preferably as provocatively as possible it could be Should the British government give almost a billion pounds a year to the World Bank? or Are international NGOs too close to the donors for comfort? or Is better taxation the key that can unlock development?

Here are some readings to help you out.

Key readings for the module

Here\’s a list of readings that will give you a longer-term perspective on development – and which scotch the myth that development began with President Truman\’s post-war speech. Some are old, but no less classic: at the very minimum Hirshmann and Wolf should be read by every development student.

Hirschmann, Albert (1967) Development Projects Observed, Washington: The Brookings Institution. This is a brilliant book with timeless lessons about development. See particularly his discussion of the desire for a myth of progress to believe in as a driving motivational force for those who work in development.

Lange, Matthew (2004) British Colonial Legacies and Political Development, World Development, Vol 32(6): 905-922. This very interesting article explores the impact of British colonialism on development, highlighting a number of significant differences in the type and extent of colonialism and effects that continue to be felt in the countries that were colonised by the British Empire.

Fialho, Djalita (2012) Altruism but not Quite: the genesis of the least developed country (ldc) category, Third World Quarterly, 33:5, 751-768. This article looks at the history of the creation of the label \’least developed country\’ and the politics that surrounds the use of this category.

Fletcher, Robert (2012) \’The Art of Forgetting: imperialist amnesia and public secrecy\’, Third World Quarterly, 33:3,423-439

Moyo, Dambisa (2008), A Brief History of Aid in Dead Aid: Why Aid is Not Working and How there is Another Way for Africa,London: Penguin, pp10-28. Told by a former World Bank economist, this is another narrative on the decades of development assistance, with figures to match.

Rist, G. (2002) The History of Development: FromWestern Origins to Global Faith, London: Zed Books

Robb, C. (2004) Changing power relations in the history of aid, in Inclusive Aid: Changing Power and Relationships in Development,ed. Rachel Hinton and Leslie Groves, London: Earthscan. This is a short and easy to read piece that scans some of the significant landmarks in the history of aid.
