Each viewer will have a unique response to a dance whether performed by a professional in a theater or by a peer in the classroom. Dance has been described as the \”art of the instant\” and no piece of choreography, even if performed over and over again by the same dancers, will be exactly the same each time it is performed. Dance movement may seem very fast and hard to remember at first, but when you have seen many performances and learned more about this art form, it will become easier to think about and discuss. The process outlined here, which involves describing, analyzing, interpreting and evaluating, should enhance appreciation of the art of dance. As per outline below, responses should be  four paragraphs long.  The intro should include who, what, when, where regarding the performance.  Make sure there is a clear conclusion, though that can be part of the  paragraph. What happened during the performance? Describe what you saw. How are the dance elements of SPACE, TIME, ENERGY/FORCE, BODY, MOVEMENT and FORM seen in the work?       Most everyone will have an immediate and individual response to a dance whether seen on television, in the movies, on the street, or in a theater. While personal opinions are important, it is also possible to compare a particular dance to others that you have seen.NOTE — This process can be used to look at any type of dance.   1) Who is the narrator of this story? And, what is the point of view? (Meaning— First or third person? Observing or participatory?)  2) What is the text saying? And, what was the author’s intention in writing this text?)  3) If there is only one voice or narrator, what is that persona’s attitude/tone and/or feelings? If there are other characters in this story, what are their personalities and how do they feel about each other?  4) Where and when does the story take place? (Meaning— Location? Time period? Season? Time of day?) 5) Who is the narrator talking to? (Meaning— Who is the intended audience of this story?)

For the last 40 years, they have evaluated all their training courses with surveys assessing course satisfaction and whether students felt they learned the course material. Your goal is to provide them with advice on how their courses should be evaluated in the future. Should they continue relying solely on survey data? What information can be gathered from course surveys? How would you recommend improving their course evaluations?

We are at a crossroads in the U.S. There are few jobs that pay well without requiring an advanced degree, and many Americans are unemployed due to layoffs from the recession. To top it off, the education system in the U.S. lags behind many other countries. Why has the U.S. been able to maintain a competitive advantage as a global leader in science and technology? The summative assessment requires the student to focus on a particular design or marketing discipline and theme (which will be approved by the lecturer) this will inform and help define a clear research challenge. In response to the challenge, students must apply two research methods (ethnographic approach must be included) to try to find appropriate solutions.

TASK:
From October 2015, large shops in England will be required to charge 5p for their carrier bags. According to the press, the objective of the new charge is to reduce bags use by between 75 and 80 per cent.

Taking from this news, the research challenge is about the use of reusable shopping bags in London: Are Londoners using them? How much? Do they find them practical and handy, compared to the plastic ones? Would they prefer them to the plastic bags, now that these ones will come at a price?
