Choose one religion ( Chinese folk/popular religion) to find information about on the Internet (multiple sources are better than one) then compare information about your chosen religion (Hinduism) in the Discussion session that follows
Note 1: Choose appropriate sources for a school assignment, sources that are either from the religion itself or neutral sources such as library, real encyclopedias (not Wikipedia! though you can use its sources to get started), news outlets (BBC, etc.)–not something that demonizes a religion or its adherents.
Note 2: Link or cite your sources in your discussion.
Note 3: Information to consider: Where found; When established (if applicable); How many people (if available); Moral/ethics; Worldviews or cosmologies; Practices; Symbols; interesting tidbits or things they seem to emphasize especially.
We have talked about principles of good communication. Its tempting to say that if youre simply a good person you wont offend people of differing backgrounds, races, age, income level or whatever. But theres more to it than that. What kind of person is an effective communicator across cultures? Perhaps you want to mention one trait you think is especially important and then expound on that. Or mention several traits. Tell why they are important.
Show thoughtfulness as well as creativity in responding to this question. Offer more than simply saying you need to be accepting of other people. What traits make someone more accepting? Be candid, mentioning traits you might need to work on. Perhaps you could mention someone who communicates particularly well across cultures and how they do it.
As always, proofread your work. Typos and errors in grammar, spelling and punctuation take away from your credibility. You cannot receive full credit if your work is sloppy or unclear.
All of you have been on teams in recent years. It might have been a sports team or a work group. It might have been a student panel or a fraternity or sorority team. It might have been a committee of some sorts — anything where you had to work with other people to accomplish a goal.
Reflect in about 350 words on the team experience.
Was it a good experience or a bad experience? Did the team work well together? If so, why? Did you make conscious decisions to work together or did you simply gel? Did the team work poorly together? What do you think was the problem? What could you have done to make it better?dont just say the team always fought. What was it they fought over? Show that youve taken time to think about the experience.

Here is the essay prompt : Ethicists seek to address issues of moral and political concern. But on what terms? Religious ethicists address issues of moral and political concern drawing resources from one or another religious tradition. For religious ethicists, religion affects not only what we call a moral or political problem but also how we ought to address it. Both Miller and Hauerwas have views about religious ethics. Compare and contrast their respective views. Which thinkers view about religious ethics is more plausible? Why? How might the thinker you find less plausible respond?
also , if you pick miller or Hauerwas, tell why ?
