Reflection on the Team Building Exercise 2017 to the Nursing Practice

The Rogerian assignment directions are as follows:
This essay should be between 900 and 1000 words. First, you will choose a topic of interest that has two opposing sides. Then, you need to research that topic in order to specify the topics scope, so it can be easily discussed in a shorter, 1000 word essay.

The following overused topics may not be used in your essay: gun control, abortion, capital punishment, gay marriage, gays in the military, mandatory drug testing, euthanasia, childhood obesity, women in the military, diets (including the Palio diet), workout regiments (including CrossFit), underage drinking, and the legalization of marijuana.

This essay must include a minimum of five sources. Three should peer-reviewed sources preferably from the APUS databases. You may use eBooks; however, as discussed earlier this semester, books generally are not as current as peer-reviewed articles. You may also use primary sources (interviews, statistics, etc); however, these primary sources should be obtained from experts within that field. If you cannot find strong sources for your chosen topic, then change your topic. If you have a question about the validity of a source, please email me, or post your question to the open forum.

Make sure to include the following sections in your essay: introduction and claim, background, body, and conclusion. Within the body of your Rogerian essay, make sure to include the following in any order: the background for your chosen topic, the opposition, the strengths and weaknesses of your opponents claim, scholarly research, your claim, discuss the warrants for your claim and the opposition in order to find the common ground, and show the common ground between your opponents claim and your claim.

After you have written your essay, please make sure to revise the content of your essay. Lastly, be sure to edit your essay by checking grammar, format, and smaller technical details. Please make sure your essay is written in third person.

A Short Paper Assignment allows you to demonstrate your research skills to your instructor and to receive feedback that will benefit you when you write research papers for future courses. With this assignment, you will learn how to do proper research and write a short paper.

This short paper is at least three double-spaced pages of text (Times New Roman, font size 12) and you must consult a minimum of two academically credible sources. Your bibliography and citations may be in APA, MLA, or Chicago Style format. Students majoring in history must use Chicago Style format.

The short paper needs to be turned in through the assignment section for grading. If you use any of the information from your sources word-for-word, you must cite the source by using endnotes, footnotes, or parenthetical citations. If you read the information and write it in your own words and it is not common knowledge, then you must cite the source because you are paraphrasing someone\’s information.

The short paper must include a cover page with your name, course number and course title, instructor\’s name, and date. You must also include a bibliography at the end of your paper. While composing your paper, use proper English. Do not use abbreviations, contractions, passive voice, or first/ second person (I, you, we, our, etc). Before submitting your paper, check your grammar and use spell check. Remember, the way you talk is not the way you write a paper.

1. Websites are increasingly important sources of information, whereas other, more traditional materials (books, journals, etc.) may eventually be outmoded–or at least, less frequently accessed. It is important, therefore, to know how to evaluate a website.

For this essay your task will be to select the websites of two major American museums (the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Art Institute of Chicago, for example) and write a three to four page essay which presents a direct comparison of these important elements:

Fully cite all quotations, summaries, paraphrases, and images. If you fail to give credit for outside material, it will be regarded as plagiarism and will result in a 0 on your essay and possibly course failure.

Include a title page, the essay itself, a works cited/references page of any primary or secondary texts cited in the essay, and the thesis/outline page. Do not forget to write your degree program and whether you are using current MLA, APA, or Turabian on the title page and in the Submission Title field when submitting your paper.

In the essay you have to pick a person like Donald Trump or Kim Kardashian any person who is famous or dead and write about in what part of hell they belong. You also have to put in what ring and circle they belong for example Donald Trump belongs in circle 8, ring 7 because he makes promises he can\’t or Kin kardashian who belongs in circle 2 because she is lust.The essay has to have an introduction, body paragraph, and conclusion. It does not matter if you have a page and a half.
