Instructions:

2. Answer the following questions:
-What three things occurred in the interviews shocked you the most?
-Have you ever participated in an interview (as the interviewer or interviewee) that did not go well? If so, what happened?
3. Be prepared to discuss the questions in class.
1. Study the industry of the stock you are assigned. Which industry is your firm engaged (provide the different business lines of your firm)?
2. Summarize and compare the key statistics for the stock and the industry (choose at least 5 items you believe informative, such as P/E ratio, market cap, dividend yield, ROE, sales etc.)

The analysis should include all five forces proposed by Porter under separate headings. For each force, you should: 1.State whether the force is strong/weak/neutral. 2. Explain your reasoning as to why you believe so using appropriate course materials (i.e. text book) and illustrating theoretical concepts using examples from the case. 3. Discuss how the global context influences each force 4. Discuss how this particular force influences profitability in the industry. Write a concluding paragraph in which you discuss whether and why the industry is an attractive industry for the incumbents and new entrants as well as offer creative recommendations for a particular company of your choice as to how it can best exploit weak forces or deal with strong forces. What should the company do next?

Well, theoretically, Marxist system can be egalitarian and can eradicate inequality.
But can it bring material prosperity to all at a high level of production and consumption?
Will citizens work hard, smart, long hours, with entrepreneurial zeal giving everything they got knowing the benefit will be diffused throughout the society and not accrue only to them?
Can people be (or be taught and trained to be) completely selfless?
No attachment, no me, no mine but view material possessions with detachment and collective pride of achievement by and for all?
No maternal, paternal, filial attachment that would stand in the way of eradicating inequality?
If yes, high level of egalitarian material prosperity is achievable. If no, a low level of egalitarian material prosperity is the maximum achievable in a highly coercive system.
