Explain Zombie Apocalypse and Gender

The final project is a theoretical application paper. Each student will be required to choose one area of focus (such as race, gender, health, etc.) and find a piece of media to analyze and apply at least two social theories. This media can be a movie, television show, book, etc. Please choose a piece of media that was not required reading/watching for the course (no Walking Dead, iZombie, World War Z). (This does not need to be an American made piece of media. If you can give me a link or let me know where to view the media, it can be from any country.) The paper should include a brief synopsis of the piece of media, a brief analysis of the topic found in that media (the topic could be any topic discussed in class such as race, gender, health, etc.), application of two sociological theories, and must include a works cited page. All work must be properly cited.

Discuss stakeholders, communicate with health care providers about their role, and identify key departments who will be responsible if the bill is passed.

You are an intern working with the Senators team to get the bill (based on the policy created in Learns cape 1 – Policy Analysis and Development) passed. You must follow the legislative process to select committees, identify stakeholders, communicate with health care providers about their role, and identify key departments who will be responsible if the bill is passed. Within this Learns cape, you will need to apply concepts such as how others influence the process, for example, health care providers who write letters, telephone and make personal visits to senators office. You should understand that this is the responsibility of a health care professional. Also, you must be able to articulate why the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is the agency chosen to implement the law and develop the regulations, what the regulations are, and why they are important.

Discuss the purpose of the procurement function and its role in the organization

Ramsey (2001) states that It is possible for Purchasing to generate and protect competitive advantage, but it is extremely diffcult, and will tend to be the exception rather than the rule in all sectors of the economy. Consequently it may be stated, with confidence, that purchasing activities are intrinsically
operational rather than strategic in nature.
In response to Ramsey (2001), Mol (2003) counter argues, that the field of strategic management has enough positive things to say about the strategic potential of purchasing to conclude that purchasing is strategically relevant. In fact, purchasing can even be said to have become more relevant in recent years as firms have outsourced more activities and increasingly look towards suppliers to create added value. This indicates strategic advantage not only resides within the firm but also between the firm and its partners.
In a 2000-word report, critically appraise Ramsey (2001) and Mol (2003) arguments, and discuss the strategic relevance of procurement based on:
– the purpose of the procurement function and its role in the organization
– the processes involved in procurement and their wider relevance to the organisations
supply chain processes
– strategic and tactical issues in the management of procurement
The report is expected to incorporate the relevant procurement theories, and the role of advanced tools, techniques, and technologies in procurement management. Background reading and research are essential for good marks.

The assignment will be assessed against the following criteria:
Depth and relevance of research (40%)
Quality of syntheses and discussions (40%)
The structure and presentation of the report – including citations/referencing (20%)
Word limit: 2000 words +/- 10%
