SourcesYou need at least six different sources. That does not mean six quotes from one source. A quote from Quote Garden or the like or a dictionary definition do not count as sources. Nor does Wikipedia count as a source.
I encourage you to use sources other than websites. I will include some information on how to use library databases in the module. Books, magazines, newspapers all are fine sources. You can access all the archives of the New York Times online; this is an excellent resource if you are writing about contemporary issues. Use websites with care, and do not rely on Wikipedia as a source. It can be quite inaccurate.I have included an argument template, taken from They Say I Say, in the module. You do not need to take a side in an absolute sense; I think there are some issues where this is almost impossible. As in our responses and earlier essays, I want your point of view, but you should also discuss the arguments of others. But use the template only as a starting point–don\’t begin your essay with \”In recent discussions of…\”–use your own words.Please check this module from time to time; I may add to it.
