A Buddhist Monk and Spiritual Director of the Tibetan Buddhist Center of Philadelphia. Losang visited our college in the month of April for ten days to share with us the art of the Mandala. He created a magnificent and intricate mandala of bright colored sands all by memory. I visited him several times during this period. He allowed many of us students to try his tools and work on the mandala, on a safe area of his beautiful creation. It was awe inspiring. He also shared many of his spiritual beliefs with us. I spoke to him about the similarities between the Tibetans and the Native American peoples. Please make these comparisons in the paper. Also the comparisons between the Mandala and the Cherokee Sand Paintings and what they are both used for/ how they are disposed of after they are created. Also, what are the similarities between the Buddhists and the Hopi Indians? Talk about who Losang Samten is, and some of his history.
