After viewing Edward Snowden\’s TedTalk within the View Media section of this week\’s Module, answer the following questions:
What communications of yours (for example, Google, Apple, Facebook, and mobile phones) could have been potentially swept up in the data-collection programs? Was the data collection on subjects outside of the United States, or were U.S. citizens also subject to data collection? Should this distinction make a difference?

My name is Vanessa Flerinord. I\’m a Business Management major. I chose this field because I want to have a business degree. I believe there is a lot to learn in the business world and there are a plethora of job opportunities in the business sector.The company that I\’m interning with is NACME. It is a company that promotes undergraduate and graduates degrees in science technology engineering and math for African-American, Latino, and Native- American students. This company provides scholarships and financial assistance to students who\’s major is in STEM. I don\’t believe this internship will provide the opportunity to fulfill my career goals. I have no desire to pursue a graduates degree or career in STEM. After graduation, I plan to take a year break to do charity work with the Red Cross or Habitat for Humanity. I want to give back to those who aren\’t as privileged and hopefully inspire others to follow their dreams. In the future, I would like to attend Emory University School of Law to become a Corporate Lawyer and establish my own non- profit company for economically disadvantaged children that have in interest in becoming entrepreneurs, business moguls, or lawyers. Life is about being a positive influence to others, if you\’re able to make the difference then do it.
Student 2 Hello everyone,
My major is Fashion Merchandising and Management. I chose this major because I have always enjoyed styling myself and others. I have a specific interest towards evening wear as well as the textile part of the industry. With this degree, I hope to continue to learn more about this field.
I am working for Sareh Nouri, a bridal gown designer. At the studio I will be working in, the gowns are hand made for clients and stores, and then shipped out. The designer, Sareh Nouri, just showed her Spring 2018 bridal collection at NYC Bridal Fashion Week, and I volunteered for a couple of days.
I have always had a special interest in evening wear, especially bridal. Working here will hopefully open up future opportunities for me to learn more about this industry. It is amazing to be able to see the gowns being made, and be able to interact with each step of the process. If I choose to continue down the bridal path, I would hope to work at a bridal store such as Kleinfeld Bridal. I am still open to other opportunities, and I am still considering what I really want to do.
