reflection of the community service i did by volunteering to take this HIV patient for her doctors appointment which took 3 hours the first day. and also picked up her medication from the merietta health department, which took about 4.5 hours the following week. i also took this patient to her dental services which were offered by the health department . this took me like 3.5 hours. i enjoyed the experience of helping others. and the patient also appreciated my service. in the process i was also advocating for this patient because her english was not that good so she had a communication barrier. initially she found out that she was HIV positive but she did not know how to get help from the health department. during my volunteering i help her to get to know all the available resources for HIV patients and also educated her about hiv transmit and supportive treatment.
