research and write a brief biograph:Select a country from Europe, Asia, or the Pacific Islands

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is for you to demonstrate the degree of mastery you have achieved over course concept and your ability to apply that knowledge to a specific context.

Procedure: Select a country from Europe, Asia, or the Pacific Islands (excluding the U.S., U.S. Territories, and U.S. Protectorates). You cannot select a country that is in regional proximity to where you come from. In other words, if you or your immediate family are from Spain, you cannot choose a country from Western Europe, if you are from Taiwan, you cannot choose a country from South East Asia, etc.

Once you have selected a country, you will need to research and write a brief biography of that country that includes a discussion of the people (demographics), the various cultures of the country, and the qualities and characteristics of the languages spoken in that country. This needs to be a descriptive essay and not a list of facts and stats. Explain, to your reader, the connections between these three elements and the impact they have on the nation as a whole.

Draw from the theory readings that were the foundation for our course as the starting point of your biography and use your research to find and provide additional information about the country\’s people, language, and culture.

There is no minimum or maximum length to this paper. However, it is unlikely that you will be able to do a comprehensive job on this assignment in less than 3 pages. If your analysis and discussion exceeds 6 pages, my expectation is that the writing is still clear, focused, and concise in the way you are presenting your country\’s biography. Do not put in a lot of excess detail and filler.

Assessment: The assessment of this assignment will be based on the standards set forth in the rubric for the assignment. The syllabus for the course also gives information on the standards and expectations for writing in this class.

discuss What book should you choose?

Your book review should be written on a nonfiction history book of your choosing that has been written by a professional historian.

A professional historian is usually working at a university or museum. Check the \”About the Author\” section if you are confused.

What book should you choose? Other than the above requirements of being nonfiction and written by a professional historian, you can choose any historical topic you would like to read. It helps if it is something you are interested in learning more about and this will make this assignment much more fun.

Discuss Exposition / Prologue -This provides background and sets the stage for your narrative

rite about an event that impacted your life including the conflict and resolution of your narrative.
Using the first person point of view, develop the story line.
In effective narratives, there is a five point development:

1) Exposition / Prologue -This provides background and sets the stage for your narrative.
2) Rising Action -This develops the conflict of the narrative.
3) Climax or Turning Point-This is the highest point of intensity in your narrative.
4) Falling Action-This recounts events that happen after the climax of your narrative.
5. Resolution -This is different than a conclusion since it conveys how the conflict of the narrative was resolved. For the development of this paper, utilize the five points of narrative writing.

In addition to the five point development of your narrative, utilize key literary elements for communicating your narrative such as plot, setting, theme, and dynamic characterization (for definitions of these terms, click \”help files\” on the upper right of this module page).
The challenging element of writing a narrative is how to convey in a clear manner the main characters actions without merely listing a sequencing of facts. The characters actions should speak and show the underlying feelings and emotions of the situation.

discuss Type of writing expected Cause and Effect

Write a cause and effect essay discussing a historical event. Be sure to focus on either the cause or the effect of the event. Also, try to focus your paper on a specific event. For example, instead of writing about the Second World War, you should focus on a moment in that war, such as the attack on Pearl Harbor. Remember to be specific and detailed in your writing. Some things you might want to think about:
What was the causal chain that led to the event?
What were the ramifications of the event? How is the world different because of it?

discuss panoramic (uses selected details to summarize a wide range of experience)

Hello,
The essay is about analyzing two works done by one author. The sources are below:

Scattered Minds (U.S.: Scattered) – Chapter Nineteen

Hold On To Your Kids – Chapter One

I no it might not be well written but I would like to keep the paragraphs that I have included but if you could please fix any grammar mistakes or sentence structure that would be fantastic.

I am not sure if I was looking for the right things to support my topics but here are some rough notes on what I was working towards to including in the essay:

a) Structure
-both use narration organization (uses scenarios) from start and throughout.
-> you see a parent who is struggling to communicate with his teenager.
->you are his patient who is trying to understand what ADD is and how to make things easier for the both of you.

– both have a sense of a step by step organization.
-> DIY from being a parent to being their mentor and friend.
-> How to understand an ADD child and what you can do.

d) Evidence and detail
– panoramic (uses selected details to summarize a wide range of experience).
-> directly implies his own experiences

Differences
a) Evidence and detail

-Quotations used in scattered minds
– From clients and other doctors
-One seems to use more imaginary scene but it could be a personal experience or maybe from someone else.

Is it easier to solve problems in life when there is a book or article on how to solve it? Most people who are working through a problem in life lean towards others to help them solve a problem. If a writer wants their words of wisdom to reach the audience, they would need to create a piece of work that would be easy for everyone to comprehend and appreciate. A writer needs to know who they are writing for, their work needs to have an appealing flow to and especially in non-fiction, the use of evidence and detail strengthens their arguments or opinions. Even though Scattered Minds and Hold on To Your Kids written by Dr. Gabor Mat, are about two different issues, the two novels show both similar and different styles of context, evidence & detail, and structure that work together to efficiently articulate his opinions to the audience.
Context is important because it identifies what kind of audience the writer is focusing on, what issues their work is about and if it is relevant to the intended audience. In both Scattered Minds and Hold on To Your Kids, it is clear that Mat is addressing his opinion to a mature audience. From Hold on to your kids, Mat asks Should parenting be this difficult?. The question is directed towards parents, whether they are future parents to be, parents with a five-year-old child or parents of a full-grown adult who are simply interested in knowing what modern parenting looks like. In Scattered minds, Mat reflects on a phrase that one hears from many an exasperated parent and teacher. Just as Mat does in Hold on to your kids he is leading his opinions towards parents. However, including the word teacher implies that Mats audience for this novel consists of not only parents of ADD children but also indicating the issue to teachers or perhaps any person who has an ADD child in their life. Mats use of not specifying which category of parents the question is directed to in Hold on to your kids, and not directing his opinions from Scattered Minds to only the parents of ADD children, benefits Mat because it assigns the issues to a wider range of people that can relate to them.

explain expectations were before the conference; how the choices that you and the lawyers made before or during the talks affected the outcome;

In your weekly reflective journal essays, do not merely describe what you did or observed in your externship, but instead, examine your preparation; your analysis of events as they unfolded; and your post-game evaluation. For example, a reflective essay about a personal injury settlement conference that you attended with your supervisor might explain what your expectations were before the conference; how the choices that you and the lawyers made before or during the talks affected the outcome; and how this experience changed your perceptions of negotiating.
