Stranded in the Himalayan Mountains

Stranded in the Himalayan Mountains. Come up with a good back story for why that is, one that\’s plausible. In other words, you weren\’t suddenly beamed there by aliens. During your extended stretch in this challenging environment, I want you to tell me how all the various systems of your body are affected.

Respiratory: What is the air pressure like? How does it affect your EPO output? What\’s happening to your red blood cells? What about your lung capacity? Etc, etc, etc.

Digestive: What kinds of food will you find there to eat? What kinds of native pathogens might you ingest? Will you need more food? Less food? Etc, etc, etc.

Lymphatic: How will your immune system respond to this trauma? What kinds of immune stresses will you encounter? Etc, etc, etc.

Cardiovascular: How will your heart be affected? What will your heart rate do? Your blood pressure? Any change in the risk of stroke or MI? Etc, etc, etc.

Muscular: How will your muscles be affected?

And not just these – cover all the other pertinent systems as well!

Go through the entire body. Don\’t write this in list form. THIS IS A STORY! Make it interesting, make it unique, make it fun, make it informative. Please, though, this is a research paper, so remember the following:

1. Have a full list of sources at the end.
2. Have in-text citations throughout.
