There is a general concern in our society regarding personal privacy. Following the Human Genome Project in the 1990s, concerns over the privacy of genetic material have been a prominent topic of discussion. The possibility that mapping your own genetic profile may soon be affordable, coupled with our current socially networked world, are adding to privacy concerns.
In this graded discussion, we will address the topic of personal genomics and privacy.
