Personal Philosophy of Education

As teachers and other professionals in education, we all develop a philosophy of education that describes what we believe the learning process is and how instruction can promote the learning process.  Our philosophies of education are influenced by our own educational experiences, the learning theories that we have studied in our education programs, and our experiences as teachers in the classroom or in other positions.Write a 300-word post that describes your personal philosophy of education.  Support your personal philosophy of education with evidence from your own educational experiences and at least two learning theories described in Chapter 7.  How do you think people learn and what components in the curriculum support students’ learning?  What were effective strategies that you experienced in your educational career?  You can refer to Figure 7.1 on p. 195 of your text for an example of a philosophy of education.  (You will have a chance to revise your philosophy of education and use it in the rough draft in Week 3 and in the final project).

Tanya DeanIn 125 to 200 words each, respond to at least two classmates. In each response, address your classmate’s questions and concerns with information from class and your own research or web search. Then, analyze your classmate’s description of argument and provide additional information or share examples of the basic elements of an argument.EXAMPLE OF A RESPONSE:Hi BOB, I think I had another class with you. I also  become irritated when a person do not see my point a view and if they don\’t agree I sometimes just shut down.  I would never do well on debate teams. I enjoyed reading your discussion and I support your  opinion on removing God from all things, doing so will be is a very big mistake. this country was builded on Biblical principles and to survived it must be ruled by them.  I can imagine this argument can become very emotional and difficult to remain open when a person knows God.  I wish you much luck in this class and I look forward to reading more of you discussions. In the past few years, there have been several studies on psychopathic personalities. Psychopathology has always been considered a psychological theory of crime. With these new studies (where they have tested the firing neurons in the brain), there is now a controversy over whether a psychopath would fall under the category of a psychological or biological theory. For example, one study showed incarcerated psychopaths a series of slides that showed not only photos of happy families and pleasant landscapes but also photos of gruesome crime scenes. It was noted that in what was deemed the normal population, the neurons fired in several sections of the brain when the pleasant photos were shown and in a different section when the gruesome photos were shown. In the psychopathic population, all neurons fired in the same area of the brain. Within the Discussion Board area, write 400–600 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas.
