Discuss Assimilation to Masculinity, Androgyny, Pluralism, or Assimilation to Femininity?

The Future of Gender Relations

Which of the following types of gender relations, discussed in Mini-Lecture 12 on gender, would you prefer: Assimilation to Masculinity, Androgyny, Pluralism, or Assimilation to Femininity? Try to think of specifics, such as how we would raise our children in the family and in schools if we wanted assimilation, androgyny, or pluralism, or the direction in which our economic or political structure might have to change. I know that some of these scenarios sound utopian, but it is not a bad idea to have an overall goal or direction if one wants to bring about social change. Try not to dismiss a new vision off-hand; see if at least some of its ideas can be used. If you do not think that an entire society with mostly feminine traits is a possibility, for example, think about some smaller areas in society in which you might like to see these traits.

Identify two key issues that span performance information, measurement, feedback, development and remuneration within the organization with justification.

Submit an individual 2,000 word report on the same case study presented by the group previously. The report has two main components:

First, students will provide a more detailed analysis of the critical performance management issues identified by their group. The discussion of these issues must be in the context of the identified strategic direction of the organisation detailed in the case.

– including an organisational analysis of internal and external factors in order to work out the organisations key performance requirements.
– Remember, a firms overall strategy dictates the priorities of their performance management process.
– Identify two key issues that span performance information, measurement, feedback, development and remuneration within the organization with justification.
– Explain why these are the key issues to be addressed.
– Your discussion of the issue should address validity, reliability, fairness and cost effectiveness and make an initial judgement about possible problems in the management of both performance and reward.

Second, report on their recommendations to resolve the performance issues identified.

– Overview the options for addressing each of the problems/issues raised, identifying strengths and weaknesses.
– Consider including the following:
– Implications of the Strategic Analysis in the selection of a best fit option
– An outline of the implementation details of your chosen option;
– How to address issues of validity, reliability, fairness and cost effectiveness. At all times link your recommendations to the literature regarding what is best practice in performance and reward management.

This report requires students to link their analysis and recommendations to the performance management literature. Students are required to cite a minimum of 8 academic references (the majority should be published within the last 10 years) from individually researched articles.

Discuss The painting by Manet titled Olympia in The Making of the West was intended to shock the smug, self-assured sensibilities of the bourgeoisie in Paris at the time

The painting by Manet titled Olympia in The Making of the West was intended to shock the smug, self-assured sensibilities of the bourgeoisie in Paris at the time. But paintings of nude women are a common subject throughout the history of art. Why is this painting different? To support your response, you might also google Manets painting The Luncheon on the Grass, another image that shocked the casual viewer in nineteenth century France.
