The Changing Role of Data Management in Clinical Trials

Project description
The nature of data management for clinical trials has changed radically with the increased use of electronic data collection. Depending on the size and purpose of the trial, data management can either be a dedicated or a shared function.

To prepare for this Discussion, review this week\’s Learning Resources, focusing on the changes in the way clinical trial data management requirements have changed as the use of electronic data systems has increased. Review the article by Timothy Pratt, \”Data Management: R.I.P. or Brave New World?\” (Applied Clinical Trials).
post a comprehensive response to the following:
What do you think the author meant when he wrote, \”The EDC/eClinical approach shifts the burden of work to predeployment, and from reactive per instance to proactive per project.\” In your response, give specific examples.
How does the change he describes affect the role and responsibilities of the Clinical Research Associates?

English for Specific Purposes

Task 3 Methodology
You will explain in 2 pages how you would implement your project design. You may include appendixes such as interview questions, informed consent forms, letters of introduction, etc.
Please Use the information Below to write a methodology of desginining an English for Specific Purposes curriculum:

In the methodology, designing an English for Specific Purposes curriculum that has the Specialized Language and General English to make it interesting to the English learners
Steps to design the curriculum:
– Needs assessment: done through (surveys, interview, observation) (100 questionnaires and 100 interview for students in the school 100 questionnaires and 100 interview for already graduated students at the workplace )
– Software to analysis data ( Name a software)
– Train qualified ESP teachers to be curriculum designers

Important points to be taken in consideration when designing the curriculum:
1-Embedding Saudi culture along with the target language culture (western culture) because a language cant be taught without teaching its culture, but embedding Saudi culture will make interesting to the Saudi students.
2-Incorporating authentic material from the workplace that students would work on after they finish the course.
3-Incorporating the four domains of the language (speaking, listening, reading writing). All the four language skills are equally important for English language learners to master the language
4-The course should be in series that align with students English proficiency levels.
5-The period of the course should be long enough for students to consolidate the language.
6-Interesting topics such as history would be interesting to have in a curriculum as a way to teach English through history which will make students more encouraged to know about their history

Strategic Mgt

You will be asked to submit your second blog entry about another important aspect of the strategic management process and to provide examples based on current events pulled from recent articles from reputable sources (such as a major regional or national news source like the NY Times, Business Week, etc.).   Recall that the main article(s) for each of your blog entries must be no older than 4 months old.  If you use an older article as your primary focal article, you will be asked to redo the assignment.  You may, of course, use older sources to support your discussion but the current event article(s) serving as the main focus of your paper must be recent.  For your , describe why environmental analysis is important and find two recent articles that demonstrate how one or two organizations have reacted to a turbulent or competitive environment in a fashion which indicates they have leveraged their strengths, overcome weaknesses, taken advantage of opportunities, or successfully faced threats to maintain a competitive edge.  What is/are the lesson(s) to be learned that you want your blog readers to take away from your analysis?
