Daronco Courthouse, 111 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd., White Plains, NY 10601.
The Richard J Daronco Courthouse (Richard J Daronco is the judge) in White Plains is home to the State Supreme Court, Westchester County Court, the Family Court, the Surrogates Court and the Commercial Division. The County Court, located in the annex, holds criminal proceedings each day. When you arrive at the Courthouse you must pass through security. The Court Officers can direct you to the annex. Feel free to go into a courtroom and watch. A court officer will ask what you are doing or if proceedings have not started, tell them why you are there before they approach you. (for bussiness law class- Professor Messina) Required to make several visits so include at least 3 or 4 cases.

Your paper must be double spaced and be 8-10 pages in length. It must discuss specifically which court you attended: who is the presiding judge was: the nature of the incidents before the court and how your visit relates to the classwork and discussions. For example, you may choose to discuss the applicability of the principles of seperation of powers to the proceedings you witnessed.
