The project is due and will be presented in class. Each student will execute a 10 minute PowerPoint presentation to the entire class. You are to present the topic you choose earlier in the semester and should have been gathering articles from the New York Times for your supporting data and information. After the presentation, a classmate or two may ask a question, so be ready!
Here is what the presentation must include:
1.10 PowerPoint slides each one is to remain on the screen for 1 minute and remember the tips provided on how to give a good presentation.
2.Of the 10 slides, at least 5 should have animation on them. This can include the text swiping on and off the page, a video, a sound bit, a piece of artwork that swipes on or off the page.
3.Be careful with the colors you choose for backgrounds and the text. Remember the lesson on color use.
4.If you quote someone or use information from a source other than the New York Times, be sure to include the source at the bottom of that given slide in small type. Remember that in order not to plagiarize you have to document your sources.
5.If your presentation allows for information to be presented in a chart or graph, use that as a source to present your information.
6.Use photos when you can. For this presentation, its ok to copy them off the Internet, but if this were being done in a real work situation, you would most likely be gathering the photos off of a paid subscription website, or using company approved, or company photography.
Be sure to provide Prof. with a printout of the slides the day of the presentation.
