Purpose: Analyzing global heath systems and policies facilitates an understanding of how health promotion, disease prevention, and social determinants impact health outcomes.

Instructions:
1. Access the World Health Organization (WHO) website and familiarize yourself with the content.

2. Access the WHO report on Social Determinants of Health (SDH), http://www.who.int/social_determinants/advocacy/UN_Platform_FINAL.pdf

3. Select two US peer countries and two developing countries to examine. (US peer countries are Canada and Australia. The two developing countries are Peru and Cambodia).

4. Access online resources for health care system information and global health status indicators for your selected countries.

5. Utilize the SDH determinant areas to organize additional profile information for your country comparisons.

Reflection Paper:

First, complete the What Does the Research Tell Us About Teacher Leadership\” article. After completing the article, write a reflection essay answering the following question, \”How can we improve and maintain teacher leadership?\” The article lists six main areas where schools can improve teacher leadership. Using your cooperating or workplace setting as the school for your reflection, please share how you can address each of the six areas. The six areas are found in the section titled \”Suggestions for School Improvement.\”

In your paper, please be sure to cite Chapter 7 of the textbook. The chapter has many profiles of early leaders in education in the United States. The chapter also includes a current view of education in the United States. Please be sure to glean a couple of historical and or current ideas from the text that could be useful in todays schools when it comes to improving teacher leadership.

During your responses, you will need to reference the assigned reading. All in-text citations and references at the end of the reflection paper should follow APA Format. Grading will use the rubric found in Moodle.
