The purpose of the annotated bibliography is to begin gathering and analyzing the sort of information you will use (and refute) in your research paper. Before you can persuasively argue a position on an important, controversial issue, you need to have a sense of the history and context of the issue in question, the implications and ramifications of a particular position, and the logic and merits of opposing positions. This assignment is intended to initiate that process. Your bibliography must include three citations:
