Plan for Growth/conclusion

What do you see as the implication of your results for your social work practice? Develop a plan for increasing your cultural competency. Note: This plan should include measurable goals for this class, the remainder of your MSW education, and your future practice as a MSW.

Goals for this class: Being that I am a white female. How my \”white privilege\” can affect my patients positively and negatively, but being a female I could been seen as weak or less effective in a male dominated society.
MSW education: Using my education to exceed the expectations and meeting the NASW competencies.
Future practice: Implementation of education into field of practice awareness of cultural diversity, social norms and social policies

Film Character Analysis Personality Theory –

In addition to entertaining us, movies offer detailed portrayals of individual differences in human behavior. Your task in this assignment is to analyze from the perspective of a personality psychologist the behaviors and personalities of the characters depicted in one of the films listed below. You are not being asked to critique the film in terms of its value as a work of art or as entertainment. Rather, you should think carefully about the personalities, behaviors, and attitudes of the characters portrayed in the film.
Your task, then, is to apply the personality theories that youve learned about in this course to understand and interpret an individuals personality and behavior. (from the book, lecture, or web exercises) that help explain the characters personality, beliefs, or behavior.
Assignment
1. View the film.

2. Watch the film with an eye towards the characters personalities, behaviors, feelings, and interactions with others.
a. How do they behave? Why do they behave the way they do?
b. How do they interpret situations? Does this differ from how the other characters respond?
c. What it is it about their past relationships that may influence their behavior and personality now?

3. Select a MAJOR character whose personality you would like to more intimately describe and interpret using different personality theories/constructs. Here are few examples of overarching theories and the specific constructs that may describe your character (feel free to draw upon any theories from Burger, J.M (2015). 9th edition cengage learning book chapter 1,3,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 &12. /book/web exercises):

Types of Asphyxiation

Explain the difference between accidental asphyxia, suicidal asphyxia, and strangulation. What kind of distinct injuries may provide answers to what happen at autopsy?

why you think the Netflix analogy makes sense here, or why delivering and using kilowatt-hours is fundamentally different than an iPad experience.

Project description
Picture an assembly line, making any kind of physical product electronic equipment, clothing, food products, or even heavy transportation equipment like aircraft or railroad locomotives. The informed product and informed process views challenge us to think that every hand that touches a control every action taken on that factory floor in fact is in reality knowledge being put to use at that moment to transform and reshape one aspect of a physical system into another, and in doing so to add value to it.
Some would argue that it is this viewpoint that distinguishes an informatics or Code Halo centric view of manufacturing, from the more traditional views of manufacturing information management and control systems design and operation.
Do you agree? Or is calling the work that\’s done on the assembly line knowledge work twisting our definitions too far, bending them out of shape? Is it too much hype and not enough substance?

Take sides in this discussion. Argue your point, and show us why you think the Netflix analogy makes sense here, or why delivering and using kilowatt-hours is fundamentally different than an iPad experience.

Self Assessment

As part of the self-assessments, take a series of very short self-assessment quizzes which will help gain an understanding leadership traits and styles. There are no right or wrong answers to these quizzes. They are designed to provide some insights into leadership skill sets.
There are no prescribed minimum or maximum word limits for the weekly self-assessments; however, it is suggested that these written reports range from 1,000 to 2,500 words per module. These reports should reflect the findings and conclusions that students get from the self-assessment quizzes and from personal reflection.
The exercise must conform to the requirements of APA formatting, to include cover page (running head with ABSTRACT PAGE with KEYWORDS, page number, title, author, university), a TABLE OF CONTENTS PAGE, APA-level headings and subheadings, proper in-text citations, and a reference section at the end.
