Virtual Experiment

Procedure Task 1
1. Go to the following web address:

2. Download the Capacitor Lab and run the simulation
3. Under the Meters tab on the right of the simulation window, select the following
tick boxes:
Stored Energy Voltmeter
4. Drag the red and black measuring probes from the voltmeter so that each probe is connected to a different plate
5. Check that the voltmeter screen reads 0V to begin
6. Carefully change the value of the voltage by adjusting the button shown on the
battery
7. Record the value shown on the voltmeter and the corresponding value of E
shown on the stored energy bar
8. Repeatfor5morepositivevalues,upto1.5V
9. Plot a graph of E and against V2 to find the gradient

Task 2
Knowing that: = 0
Where: 0 = permittivity of free space = 8.85 1012 = plate separation (distance in mm)

Calculate the plate separation required for a capacitance of 1.6 1013F and then
compare to the experimentally found value.

2. Using the same plate area as before (100mm2) as before, adjust the separation until 1.6 1013F is measured

What does a curator do? He or she comes up with ideas for exhibitions that they think are important of interesting to the public. They design the layout of the exhibition (i.e. how and where the works are displayed), write a brochure or wall labels, and sometimes give tours of the exhibition.

Imagine that you have been given this job and the director of your museum has asked you to come up with a concept for an art exhibition that includes at least five works of art that were either discussed in the lectures or in your textbook. and in the end please mention a summary: I have a philosophy; a way of thinking. There is always something new to learn, the most important thing is to hold curiosity in simply listening. I desire to be accepted on this course primarily because learning further has no limits and I plan on taking this opportunity first-hand. I desire to enhance my knowledge about the criminal mind, means of how we conduct ourselves and understanding why crime is such a substantial part of our world. I want to delve into criminology, a subfield of sociology, to ultimately help me to pursue my aspirations and progressing onto becoming a criminologist.
