According to the textbook, people are more motivated when

According to the textbook, people are more motivated when \”they are shown a truth that influences their feelings\” than they are by analysis. Discuss the relevance of this statement for organizations growing and responding to change. What responsibility does a leader have to honor stakeholder concerns when \”feelings\” are the primary basis for the concerns?

Read Part IV of the Discourse on the Method located at http://www.earlymoderntexts.com/assets/pdfs/descartes1637.pdf (then scroll down to Part 4, pp. 14-18). This is only four or five (4 or 5) pages of the larger work.

Write a three to four (3-4) paragraph essay (250 words minimum) which analyzes the surprise ending of the reading selection.
Reading selection from Descartes Discourse on the Method (Part IV). Descartes begins with a proof of one basic conclusion and ends with a proof of something much grander. Remember to focus on the surprise and point of realization, not the details of the philosophical argument.
Clearly state in your own words the surprise ending in the reading you selected. Clearly identify the point in the reading when you realized that there were elements in the reading that surprised you. Not all of the surprises come at the end.
Evaluate how successful the author was in convincing you to accept the validity of the surprise ending that was different from what you expected.
Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA Style format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions. (Note: Students can find APA style materials located in the Additional Resources section of their Student Center within their course shell for reference)
Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the students name, the professors name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
Use the source(s) identified above for the topic you choose, focusing on the main primary source of that author. You may use additional sources also if they are of good academic quality for college papers (Wikipedia and similar websites do not qualify). Use proper APA style in-text citing and also a matching APA style References list at the end.

Project

The project must be written up as a 10-page report that contains a cover page, table of contents, introduction, report body with at least three headers, any evaluation/survey sheets. and at least one graphic (i.e., table or graph), conclusion and recommendations, and bibliography cited in APA format. Proper citation of references is required throughout the report. Students must successfully make plans and identify an actual location/place to conduct an assessment aimed to identify the different types of hazards (physical, biological, chemical) that can be found at the selected site. The location is the m16 range.I have attached my outline and below is a reference that you can use. Also use the Army\’s risk assessment for evaluation sheet.

China – How an improved economy has created an unsustainable environment – (air pollution) but you will focus on the business aspect of how a growing economy in China is creating a more polluted China (Think manufacturing and exports)

Remember, you are to take either a developed countries (have) point-of-view or a lesser-developed countries (have-nots) point-of-view, but always speak to the pros and the cons of all issues. Discuss efficiency vs. effectiveness, short-term vs. long-term, micro-economics vs. macro-economics, etc. of the situation, etc.

What environmental issue did you choose?

Who/what is causing it (mostly)?

Is it localized or does it affect a broader area?

Do we have the science and technology needed to address the problem?

Could it be stopped? Should it be stopped? If so, how?

At what cost? Who should pay?

Who will benefit from the environmental action?

Evaluation and Control

How do you measure the results?

Where and what would you measure?

What are the risk(s)? Uncertainties?

I will upload the beginning of my paper, use it as a building block. Continue adding to the paper and making a new 4 pages to add on to the 2 I give to you.
