The topic is How William Butler Yeats\’s Irish identity shaped his poetry. Research question is how his poems reflected his personal life.
This paper needs to be focused on strategic human resource management in the hospitality field.
Conduct research into relevant human resource management issues affecting the hospitality and tourism industry. This research paper should provide a review and an analysis of the topic of interest.
Topic will be self-selected and paper must include:
A literature review of an HRM topic of current interest.
Minimum of 7 and a maximum of 10 pages double-spaced text (excluding references and appendix) in APA style of writing
Your reasons for selecting a particular topic
Industry data, facts, statistics and/or findings ascertained from industry journals, academic journals, articles etc.
Observations and conclusions
Grading based on clarity of thought, quality of information and relevance of research materials used.
The paper should be 2.5 pages long and focus on one of the topics below. You will develop the paper by emphasizing one or two characters in the novel and using the novel events and dialogue as evidence, along with evidence about the Victorians.
Utilitarian education impact on personal morality (Tom, Bitzer, Louisa).
Industrialization and the impact on social classes and living conditions of workers (Stephen Blackpool).
Romantic elements in Dickens attack on Victorian utilitarianism in the novel: Sissy Jupe, Louisa, Mr. Gradgrind.
The paper is NOT a plot summary of the novel.

At least three quotes from the novel and connection to the point the paper is making
Reference to one background source to explain Romanticism or Victorian values and life. Use content in the course site.

Your final essay should be a 3-4 page investigative essay that identifies and explores competing arguments on a topic of your choice. (Note that if you aren\’t familiar with the term \”investigative essay,\” I found a helpful and accurate write-up here.) To get an A, be sure to:
Select a topic you find personally interesting
Identify more than one line of argument related to your topic (ie, competing perspectives about your topic; two is fine).
Present and evaluate those arguments from multiple sources carefully and critically
Are there weak premises to the arguments? Fallacies?
Reach a general conclusion based on your evaluation of the arguments you encountered
As with the midterm, grades will be assigned based entirely on a set rubric:
40 points – Presentation and evaluation of the arguments/perspectives you encountered/quality of information sources
40 points – A conclusion that demonstrates good critical thinking skills
10 points – Readability of essay (quality of prose, spelling/grammar)
10 points – Proper MLA or APA formatting of essay
Perform a close analysis of Use by Alice Walker, emphasizing the language and formal elements of the piece in order to explain how those elements relate to the broader significance of the work, its meaning, and/or significant themes.
Then, perform a close analysis of Martin Luther Kings Letter from Birmingham Jail, emphasizing what the main idea is, how the argument is structured, and what specific claims are made. Incorporate quotations from the text to support your interpretation.
Then read one of the texts through the lens of the other, indicating how understanding one alters your understanding of the other.
Finally, reverse that reading. So, if you previously explained how, for instance, Letter from Birmingham Jail alters your understanding of Use then for this portion you will explain how the poem impacts or changes your understanding of the historical piece.
No outside research is required or needed, use only the resources provided and the paragraphs should follow the steps listed. Use the close reading packet to analyze the two literary pieces.

Spend at least two hours this week examining the world around you with a focus on social inequalities on the basis of class, gender, disability, and any other type(s) you can think of. To what extent do you encounter unequal relationships or arrangements as you go about your daily life? Describe the inequalities you notice or experience and the contexts/settings in which they occur (e.g., work, school, stores, family gatherings, neighborhoods, public transport, etc.).
