So far in your Seminar courses, you have considered how communication, critical thinking, and information literacy skills can provide an advantage to you in the job application and interview process, and can help make you a better professional in your future career field.As we look ahead to the final Seminar course, our focus shifts to diversity awareness. Share your thoughts about the following questions regarding this very important skill: What does diversity awareness mean to you? How does someone demonstrate a high level of awareness in your career field? Why do you think it is so critical for employees in your future profession?

Below are the instructions:
The goals of the first writing activity are to get you:

-)thinking about potential topics for the major assignment and
-)to begin grappling with issues of purpose, audience, and persuasion.

The activity is an informal BUT STILL PROFESSIONAL identification of a problem. The problem might be at your company, at a different company, related to municipal infrastructure, or whatever scenario you pick. Your mode of communication is a short email of around 150-200 words.

Your problem statement should broadly deal with the 5Ws: what, who, when, where and why. You arent expected to present any solutions at this time. Your job is simply to identify a problem and highlight the need for further investigation.

In your problem statement you should:

Provide context. Briefly educate your reader on the general and specific background.
Provide a detailed description of the problem. Be as specific as possible in the space constraints. In providing specifics, offer rationale for dealing with the problem (i.e., how does the problem affect operations or costs). Keep this axiom in mind: a problem clearly stated is half-solved.

Note that we are at the idea-generation phase of the major assignment. You are not bound to this topic, nor are you expected to have done extensive research on the topic. You should do enough research to flag a problem in a way that is informal and preliminary yet still builds your credibility.

What would you talk about after you read it?   Revising/Final Copy   Carefully double check your paper. Ensure that everything is spelled correctly, including the author’s name, character names, and special terms. Review punctuation and grammar. Make sure that you gave enough summary so that your reader can tell you read the book. You may also consider adding some interesting quotes from the reading. The paper must be written in, double spaced. Be sure to use 1 inch margins and Times New Roman 12-Point Font. 

Respond to the Report provided to you . Your response may be in any format you choose. In your response, you will describe and analyse how the specific needs of your industry as indicated by the report can be met in order to achieve an increased level of production of creative content and services. Critically examine the solutions put forward in the Report. Suggest alternative strategies or amendments.
Your Creative Response must include the following elements:
Introduction: Introduce the main purposes of the creative response and the overall problem to be solved.
Description: A brief description of the report under discussion. Give an outline of the main issues involved. Provide content for your discussion of the relevant issues.
Discussion: Examine the issues you raise one by one, responding to them with the information from your research of the academic literature.
– You must outline the issues you raise, and their implications for your chosen creative industry. – How the issues you raise link to the academic literature.
– Suggest solutions to the issues you raise and critically evaluate these.
Conclusion: sum up the conclusions you draw and the recommendations you propose to achieve an increased level of production of creative content and services.

n a nutshell from information in the report and from any further research you undertake:

 In lecture 1 we talked about the six properties that are necessary to be considered living.  Choose the two properties that you think are the most important and discuss how they pertain to humans.  Be specific in your answer.Delve into the topic a little bit.  What body system is used?
