Conference techniques

Power, because it is sometimes used for dishonorable purposes, can be misunderstood as negative. Power is neither negative nor positive, but the use of power can be negative or positive. Determining whether one has power means paying attention to the verbal and nonverbal indicators of power, and to who has resources that are important to achieving the group’s goals. In this assignment, you will explore these issues. Your assignment is to write a 2 page paper answering the following questions:   There are several conflict strategies that can lead to constructive or destructive conflict. Consider how the five communication styles of conflict management and how negotiation can manage conflict in groups. Please respond to all of the following prompts:

You develop a suspect, and during your interrogation, you have the opportunity to lie to the suspect concerning the evidence you have against him in this case. The Virginia Court of Appeals upheld lying to a suspect as an ethical practice in Arthur v. Commonwealth 1997. As a Christian, you know it is a sin to lie. Will you lie to the suspect concerning the evidence you have against him in this case in an attempt to illicit a voluntary confession? This interrogation technique is legally accepted; however, is it moral and ethical?  APA FORMAT MINIMUM WORD COUNT IS 400

describe the price/price schedule for each, and then compare the two by comparing and contrasting what pricing strategies seem to be at work.

Project description
Procedure and Contents

Find two products within the same product category, describe the price/price schedule for each, and then compare the two by comparing and contrasting what pricing strategies seem to be at work. This should include both a descriptive portion (telling me what you observe) and an analysis portion (what is the story here, what should I and your marketing team care about?). It should include how these may relate to the other marketing mix elements as needed.

The two products need only be in the same product category. They can be goods or services. They can be part of different distribution channels (one is online, one in a brick and mortar store), different brands, and so on. Likewise, they can all be the same brand and even on the same store shelf (size or other product line variations). The key is for you to apply what you have learned in class.

Besides a description of the products and your analysis, you should also included a recommendation. Who the recommendation is for is up to you and how you wrote the analysis. If for example you are writing as if you are working as a brand manager within a specific company, it should be crafted as if you were working there and presumably care about the companys well-being. The recommendation can also be written as if you were a competitor (what is their weakness and how can we capitalize), an outside consulting group (this is the issue), a retailer (this is how we can do better), and so on.

Format

Remember, you are acting as an analyst writing in an organizational setting. Again, in time could conduct a more extensive study and could later write a full report but, for the time being, you are writing an analysis to the rest of your team so that you and your team can decide your next research steps. Your job is to identify what is most important and to give detail where it is likely most relevant. What you include and exclude in your analysis are both decisions not to be taken lightly.
