The documents are in chronological order but you will need to read each one carefully as some communications are duplicated.

You will need to cite the personal communications that you refer to as you write your paper
Write in 3rd person and critique the e-mail exchange. You must write a narrative in which you explain the key issues and discuss the various aspects of the different communications. Simply restating who said what does not constitute an acceptable critique.

Part 2 – Improve the Communications

Create a new page in your working paper with a new heading, \”Improving Frodo\’s Communication\”

Open Frodo\’s original messages. Copy and paste all of the text into the new page of your working paper.

Rewrite, with comments, each of Frodo\’s original messages, as appropriate:

Use the Track Changes tool in MS Word to edit Frodo\’s writing and use the Comment tool to indicate why you are making specific changes.

In your comments, indicate (in detail) what is wrong with the word, phrase, sentence and/or paragraph and how your rewrite is an improvement over the original Frodo text.

Notes:

You should include at least one comment for each paragraph that you rewrite; if necessary, you may include additional comments for each sentence that you rewrite.

You should rewrite a particular word, phrase, sentence, or paragraph if it violates principles of good communication; e.g., grammar, logic, audience targeting in terms of such things as, but not limited to, tone, themes, word choices, etc.

If you believe that the original text is already written well, add a comment to that effect, citing what is good about it, and do not edit that portion of the text
