Describe methodologies for building high performing teams that are self-sustaining.
Identify, describe, and critique major approaches to leadership and decision making.
Assess critical shortcomings of the rational decision making model.
Describe decision making biases in organizational settings.
Understand decision heuristics and framing in a manner that facilitates action planning in organizations.
Discuss the connections between holistic leadership, sustainable high performance, and learning organizations in the context of organizational decision making.
Choose five from the objectives list to write a research paper about an organization and outline how it dealt with a teamwork and/or organizational behavior phenomenon. This event could, in fact, be positive or negative in nature. The organization could perhaps be both simultaneously. Students must select five (5) of the course objectives listed above and demonstrate how their chosen organization demonstrated effectiveness or ineffectiveness in the attempted transformation. The final paper must be five to seven pages in length (excluding the title and reference pages) and must contain at least five references. APA format should be utilized during the development of this paper.
