Be sure that it is a full page of text with no grammar or spelling issues, and be sure that you do not take up 25% of the page with your name and class information. If it isnt a full page of Times New Roman, double spaced 12-point black text, it wont be counted for full points. I want to feel that you have analyzed the issue, and have attempted to see it from both sides before choosing a side.

There is an ethical issue surrounding the phenomenon of Digital Necromancy, or the resurrection of dead celebrities in television commercials, films, and live performances. Once a celebrity dies, their commercial viability is still in effect. Usually, their likeness rights revert to their family.

The question:

Would you want someone, say your weird cousin Lou, making decisions about how your likeness is used after you die? If you were a vegetarian, would it be appropriate to digitize you into Foster Farms chicken advertisements? John Wayne, American cowboy film star, died of lung cancer from smoking four packs of cigarettes a day and liver issues stemming from drinking. He was recently featured in a Budweiser commercial. Bruce Lee, Chinese film star and martial arts virtuoso had a personal philosophy about health that included not drinking or doing drugs. Johnnie Walker, a maker of fine scotch whiskey, just featured him in a lengthy and digitally groundbreaking commercial. Although these commercials are beautifully done, is it proper to include a performer to sell products that is no longer alive, or is the art of resurrecting a walking, talking icon too wondrous to ignore? Im sure Bruce Lee fans (like me) were very excited to see him again in any form, and possibly didnt take offense to the message being presented. Still, if you cant get an authorization from a dead celebrity, should they just be leftdead?

The museum was very welcoming and inviting. It was neat and clean and provided a relaxing atmosphere where you could enjoy and learn about different types of art. The harm museum is very educational, and I enjoyed my visit.

In this paper, I anticipate several types of information to be covered. You may think of this as your beginning outline.

Example answer:This week I will be taking the role of a behaviorist. Behaviorism focuses on overt or visible behavior meaning being able to witness a behavior being played out. Behaviorist John B. Watson believed that “rather than studying subjective feelings such as hunger, we should study visible behavior such as eating” (Lieberman, 2012, pg. 21). Behaviorists also argued that instead of speculating about what a person might be thinking, it would work best to present rewards, for example, then observe the effects it produces. It does not take into account thoughts or feelings the way that Cognitivism does, behaviorism focuses on outward manifestation instead.A pro of behaviorism is that it can be observed therefore making it easy to measure with the naked eye. We are able to dissect if a difference exists from when the subject began to where they find themselves now. Another pro is that it is easy to implement and examine. It does not go into major depths of their thinking process or how their brain systems functions when responding to stimuli the way cognitivism does.A con is that people can change their behaviors unexpectedly. They could make it seem like they have changed their behavior but in reality may only be doing so in order to receive the reward at the end, and may not be logically understanding why they should do the things they are doing. A second con is that it doesn’t require a lot of thinking in order to achieve wanted results. Once the subject notices the pattern form after several trials they will just repeat the same steps, like a routine.A personal experience for me was when I was little and would misbehave or do something I knew I wasn’t supposed to, my mom would just open her eyes really wide and give me “the look”, and I knew what it meant. The TEDx Talk video, Why Diversity Is Upside Down: Andrs Tapia at TEDxIndianapolis, which you watched in this unit’s studies, presents several interesting thoughts about the standard perception of diversity. It challenges viewers to move past “Diversity 1.0” and learn the new paradigm of diversity as a multidimensional mixture of attributes, experiences, and ethnicity embodied by every human being. Tapia challenged you to shift your mental model away from a monolithic, single-dimensional, unchanging structure to a model based on the reality of life in the postmodern, post-American world. The challenge, Tapia says, is in making the move from valuing diversity (the mix) for the sake of having a mix to appreciating differences and finding ways to “make the mix work.”

Overview

In our study of poetry, we have discussed several key poetic elements such as rhythm, sounds and song. Formal Writing Assignment 3 is a critical thinking and information literacy project that will require you to make deeper connections between poetry and music.

Requirements

Access Online Sources:

To begin, pick a song that you like. The song you pick should be chosen on the merits of its lyrics rather than its beat or musical accompaniment. The song, which must be in English, may contain a moderate amount of graphic language, and, if you choose, it may deal with controversial themes.

Locate the reliable lyrics to your song from an online source. A copy of the song lyrics must be attached to the assignment link. If your song has been covered by many different artists, please identify which version you are discussing in your paper, and make sure that the lyrics you attach correspond accordingly.

Analyze (at least 400 words):

Once you have picked your song, you are to analyze it as a piece of poetry in a well-organized essay of at least four paragraphs. As the analysis depends on it, your paper should also include some quotations from the song. Because you will be quoting text from the chosen song, you will also need to include a Works Cited page. Examine the song through the scope of some of the following poetic elements:

Persona
Voice (Irony, Tone)
Diction
Allusion
Imagery
Rhythm
Sound (Rime, Alliteration/Assonance, etc.)

FINAL EXAM TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATIONS

The final assessment is this take-home essay exam. The exam will consist of three short-essay questions on giant themes throughout this course, covering the material you have read and our discussions. As a take-home exam, the final exam grading rubric is very similar to the essay grading rubric.

Please answer all three questions below. Submit this exam via the ASSIGNMENT FOLDER and to MY E-MAIL (emily.lipira@faculty.umuc.edu) no later than 5:59 PM EST (USA), Wednesday, 4 May. It will become available to you on Monday, 2 May. Please submit with a Word document attachment, so no PDFs. You will notice I used parts of three of the discussion topics for the exam questions. Do not simply use your discussion-board responses as this assessment is a final exam, and therefore graded more strictly. Reword and analyze more to think about the topic anew.

In what ways have such innovations and related developments affected the entire world both benefically and problematically?
